Step back in time with us...

Papua New Guinea is a land that time forgot. 850 different languages and cultural groups. You walk down the road and find a clan with a different way of life to the one you just left. You ask “how do you say thank you in your language?” They say, “in which language?” There’s hardly any roads, cars, scooters or bikes. Most people never travel far from their village. People don’t have ‘jobs’. They live in their villages, work in their gardens, go fishing, build houses from scratch, care for their family. Wealth is communal. There’s no garbage collection, because there’s hardly any waste. Canoes are carved from trees and when it’s been dry, you drink coconut water instead.

They live more ‘sustainably’ than our gadgets, money and good intentions ever could. If you need to shake up your perspective, this is the place.

An experience money truly can’t buy. You just have to come and live it.

All whilst you're diving deep into your ocean capabilities as a freediver in a location most have never explored.

TESTIMONIALS

TESTIMONIALS image

Hear what our guests have to say!

It's a long heartfelt one, so take the time to listen if you're unsure :) Or even if you just want to smile.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ NINA - PNG 2026

"In my 14 years as a travel writer, I’ve rarely come across an experience this special. I went from being terrified to duck dive beneath the surface to dancing below 12 metres, something I never imagined I’d be capable of.

Liv and Georgie created the perfect environment for that transformation: incredibly safe and supportive, while also helping us understand the poetry and joy of freediving - less a sport, to me, than an artform. Woven through it all was a genuine commitment to culture, community and earth stewardship, which made the experience so much richer.

I also joined the second-week extension to Kono Village, which was just as special. We worked the land alongside community members, learned about the environmental pressures they’re facing, and sat together to brainstorm ways we might be able to support their efforts. We were also welcomed into traditional dances and cultural practices in a way that felt genuine and uncontrived. It was a privilege to be introduced to Kono through Liv and Georgie, whose relationships with the community feel thoughtful, reciprocal and built for the long term.

I came away expanded in body, mind and soul, much more connected to the ocean, and reminded that we’re all capable of so much more than we think."

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ MADDIE - PNG 2026

"As a mother with two very small kids, deciding to spend 10 days overseas away from my family, requires a whole lot of faith in the people I choose to travel with. Liv & George absolutely delivered, over and over again. George & Liv have beautifully curated an experience where skills are nurtured, rest is rewarded, safety is paramount, connection to culture is fundamental, and nature, the ocean in particular, is sacred. Their incredible commitment and preparation shows. I had little to no understanding of what to expect from freediving, only that the Netflix version wasn’t it. Freediving with Liv for the Sea is blissful, safe, liberating, transformative and addictive. If I could give this 100 stars, I would."

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ LAURA - PNG 2025 & 2026

"I recently did my second Papua New Guinea trip with Liv for the Sea, having loved PNG the first time. I absolutely recommend this trip, PNG is a magical place to explore and the accommodation quality and location is set up really well for freediving. This time I also did the cultural immersion extension which was a memorable additional phase to the trip and I really appreciated getting to know New Ireland a bit deeper and to be able to spend time with the local people. Liv and Georgie and the whole group were a pleasure. Definitely consider this trip!"

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ CAZ - PNG 2026

"As a 60yr old women far more comfortable above the water than below, I never thought in my wildest dreams I would achieve anything like a 12m dive. Tears of elation washed away by the ocean any lack of confidence and disbelief. In combination with immersion in a unique remote culture of such beautiful indigenous peoples made PNG a trip of a lifetime.
The trust, encouragement and professionalism of Liv and Georgie was exceptional. Managing people of all ages and capabilities with genuine care and kindness. Ive learnt not to let the self doubt both physically and emotionally that creep in as you age limit any hopes and dreams for the future."

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ JEN - PNG 2026

"We have just experienced a once in a lifetime trip to Papua New Guinea. This was the holiday destination we didn't know that we needed to see. Liv for the Sea organised a dream come true island getaway with authentic experiences with the locals, comfortable eco-resort accommodation and some of the best seafood I've ever eaten, and the bluest deep blue water at a balmy 29 degree water temperature. The first thing I did when I got home was get on the waitlist for next year.

Liv and Georgie truly are the most wonderful dive coaches, holiday guides, marine experts, and fun mates with which to explore the path less travelled. We had no safety concerns, nothing but full froth fun and smiles from ear to ear. Georgie makes a mean pina colada too..... Can't wait for our next adventure with Liv for the sea xx"

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ NIKKI - PNG 2025

"Liv For The Sea X PNG was phenomenal beyond words. Liv and Georgie are an absolute dream to travel and dive with. They created the trip of a lifetime for all of us. These two are gorgeous humans with massive hearts who care so much about creating amazing experiences in and out of the water for everyone.

I dived under Georgie’s guidance for the week, and she was so thorough in her teaching and support. She spent time one-on-one with each of us, connecting with our goals and helping us overcome any obstacles to getting there. I was fairly new to freediving and still mastering some of the basics, and Georgie took me aside before we went out to practise equalising so I could nail it in the water. Thanks to her, I built so much confidence as a freediver on this trip.

The vibes were immaculate. Everyone was thriving in the water, PBs were happening left, right and centre, and we were all truly having the time of our lives.

This trip was also incredibly special because of the time dedicated to connecting with the community and the land. My heart is so full of appreciation for all of it.

This is so much more than a Freediving trip."
