Molchanovs LAP 1 Freediver Course

ZERO Experience Required - Just an eagerness to learn!
The LAP 1 course is a subset of the Molchanovs Wave 1 Course, it includes the same theory and pool components, where you can essentially become certified as a 'pool freediver'. From there you can pursue your open water dives to complete your WAVE 1 course anywhere in the world based on successful LAP 1 completion. For more information on what this means read HERE.

There will be about half an hour break in between.
From 1:00pm at MSAC Pool

We will be out of the pool by 4:00pm.
Exam @ the Cafe then you are free to go!
You must be able to swim unassisted.
Be 15yrs or older
If you have your own gear we always recommend bringing what you are comfortable with. Basic snorkelling equipment will be ok for this course too, if you are unsure just reach out.

Wetsuit (Pool is 27-29degrees, so a spring suit or 3:2 will be perfect for breath holds, then we can take a layer off when we add movement.)
1. Booking & Payments
Payment of $280 in full is required at the time of booking to secure your place.
Online bookings incur a 2% processing fee payable by the participant.
2. Refund Policy
Cancellations by participant:
More than 14 days before the course – eligible for a full refund minus an $80 administration & service fee, or a transfer to another course date (subject to availability).
7–14 days before the course – eligible for a 50% refund or transfer to another course date.
Less than 7 days before the course – no refund available. At our discretion, transfer may be offered if a replacement participant can be found.
Medical Exemption: If you cannot attend due to illness or injury and provide a valid medical certificate, you may transfer your booking to another available course date once, at no additional cost.
Cancellations by Liv For The Sea: If a course is cancelled or rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. pool closure, instructor illness, insufficient participants), you may choose either a full refund or transfer to a future course date.
No-shows: Failure to attend without notice will result in no refund.

4. Health, Safety & Transport
You are responsible for ensuring you are physically fit to participate in this course.
If you have any pre-existing health conditions or concerns, it is your responsibility to consult with a doctor and obtain medical clearance confirming that you are fit to partake in apnea activities both in and out of the water.
Liv For The Sea is not liable for any injury, illness, or medical expenses that result from ignoring safety guidelines, failing to disclose medical conditions, or not obtaining appropriate medical clearance.
Transport: Travel to and from course locations is the responsibility of the participant. Liv For The Sea is not responsible for transport arrangements or any accidents, incidents, or delays that occur while travelling between locations.

Learn in a practical and engaging environment theory basics of freediving in a private classroom setting.
Explore the physical sensations of breath holding and how to maximise a full breath after understanding what is happening physiologically. It is all about experimentation!
We have our very own private lane to put new breath hold skills to the test and explore adding movement underwater.
Your entry into the pool is included.
Shall you require any gear, mask & snorkel, fins, weightbelt & weights or a wetsuit, please add these to your booking at the end.
There is zero pressure in this course to pass any requirements, If you would like the added certification, it will be an additional $100 and you must complete an exam.
Please ensure you pack lunch or have the means to find lunch nearby. There is a cafe at MSAC Pool.
